Gooseberry and Cherry Tart
What to do when you've been given a glut of Gooseberries and Cherries
Make them into a tart no less
This was a recipe I found online from another blogger Lily and Chew http://lilyandchew.blogspot.com/2007/07/gooseberry-tart-to-warm-glastonbury.html
I just added some cherries in place of some of the gooseberries, and it did taste rather good even if I do say so myself. A few mini versions went out as samples but this main one got sold and the reviews were pretty good.
The pastry I used was a very sweet pastry with icing sugar on its own it tasted very biscuit like and my dad enjoyed finishing off the ragged pieces from the edges.
All in all a very good tart
